Prototype Press Operator
This position is responsible for programming, operating and maintaining mechanical and hydraulic presses in a production setting. Set up and execute specific jobs as prioritized by the Department Head – maintaining quality, delivery dates and safety requirements at all times. MINIMUM 3 YEARS EXPERIENCE ONLY NEED APPLY.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Set up and tear down multi-piece tools within target completion times
- Barber dies and always log time spent on barber log
- Try out dies within target completion times / change dies within target completion times
- Cut blanks for other dies / develop tools and blanks
- Run quality parts with a goal to meet or exceed production targets
- Drive hi-lo carefully and operate crane carefully following all safety rules
- Review line up and address any concerns with Supervisor
- Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job / Maintain continuous improvement in quality and productivity
