Manufacturing Data Manager
We are a growing manufacturer in the automotive and aerospace industries. We pride ourselves on quick and accurate turnaround to customer specifications and incoming requirements. We have an opening for an experienced Manufacturing Data Manager at our Sterling Heights, MI facility.
PLEASE DO NOT APPLY FOR THIS POSITION UNLESS YOU POSSESS: A Minimum 2 years on the job or equivalent experience as a Manufacturing Data Manager. A Minimum of 2 years Solid Works experience in 2D and 3D. Catia and UG experience a plus.
SUMMARY
The Manufacturing Data Manager is responsible for the maintenance of all data files used by manufacturing in various programs for use by all departments within the organization. The Manufacturing Data Manager also provides documentation to support the manufacturing process as required on an individual program basis.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Efficient usage of Solid Works for data.
- Create detail plots.
- Create weld plots.
- Create exploded views for large assemblies.
- Maintain plot storage area.
- Complete and distribute picture sheets to manufacturing.
- Create weld and fastener books for Assembly Department.
- Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
REQUIREMENTS
- Education required: High school diploma or equivalency.
- Experience required: Minimum 2 years on the job or equivalent experience as a Manufacturing Data Manager. Minimum 2 years Solid Works experience in 2D and 3D. Catia and UG a plus.
- Skills, knowledge or abilities: Read, write & speak the English language fluently.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts and conversions.
- Ability to work with statistical data and apply concepts such as whole numbers and fractions, ratios and proportions and work with measurement devices.
- Ability to understand requests and convert those requests into the terms, standards and units of production and measurement utilized within the EMI organization in a timely manner.
- Ability to understand data requests & convert those requests into the terms, standards and units of production and measurement utilized within the EMI organization.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- A strong commitment to success with a “can do / will do” attitude.
- Technical experience with engineered products.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively – both orally and in writing.
- Strong listening skills.
- Working knowledge and proficiency to effectively utilize Microsoft Office and Solid Works.
- Significant experience with management planning and goal setting.
- High level of ability with database, spreadsheets or other analysis tools.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to deal tactfully with human issues in vendors, peers and particularly customers.
- Ability to create and maintain team building relationships within the organization.
